Leith

Open Studios weekend . Went to Leith to Coburg House; there are 4 floors, at least 50 studios open, just in that one building. Lots of jewelers, a metal worker, painters, a tailor, a weaver .. good quality work. Two different places for coffee and cakes and seating. One of the many sets of tools in extra.

We took nearly two hours to look through most of it. Looked around the market and at a couple of other things in the Custom House. Cold, though it warmed up a degree or two from freezing and wasn't windy. Back by tram.

Georgian Concert society 17th century Advent music in the evening, the Illyria Consort. Violinist Bojan Čičić, Theorbo Kristina Watt, organ and harpsichord Christopher Bucknell.

Frescobaldi, Biber, Buxtehude, Carbonelli, Tartini .. mainly pastorals. Not quite a full house in St Andrews and St George. Streets very busy as we walked over there.
