(Nearly) All The Leaves Are Brown ...

...And the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
On a winter's day


The meteorological winter started on 1st December but the astronomical winter doesn't start until 21st December. The tiny crab apples are still hanging on and the elm leaves against the carpet of horse chestnut leaves are still looking autumnal. 
My father bought The Seekers album, Come The Day, in 1966. I love Judith Durham's rendition of California Dreamin'.
