Here's One I Made Earlier

An EB.  On a grey, wet day photo opportunities have been very limited, all the more so since the lion's part of the day was spent at the Totaleigh Music Showcase event held at The Magic Lantern, Tywyn's multi-functional cinema.  Tywyn is home to Leigh, a private music teacher who returned here a few years ago, having once been the high school music teacher.   She co-ordinates a lot of musical activities with a team of fellow teachers and as a result has become a big part of the local music scene which is now thriving :-)   So today we had a selection of pupils and other clients from eight to .... well probably eighty!   Some just starting out, many very talented.  I was there with the Singing Stars, the Wednesday choir.  We started with Calon Lan (A Pure Heart), an iconic Welsh anthem originally written as a hymn.  It's very rousing and I think we did it proud.  There were some Christmas numbers too.   Jamie performed a song from the musical Hamilton and really nailed it, coming off stage to rapturous applause and high fives from the audience :-)   He was also playing his violin in the orchestra.  Silver Band, The Ukeleleighs, Flute Troop and Fretted String groups also performed but best of all - I thought - was the Samba Band.  No amps needed for their drumming, it had me thinking that I might give it a go next year!

So as no private photography was allowed at the event, it's another pottery blip.  A small hand built vase, maybe four inches tall.   One too many layers of glaze for the carved texture but the two colours have run together rather nicely.
