Tethers

These boats tied up at the harbour reminded me how tethered most of us are. I certainly am: by animals, garden, domestic chores, dependent relatives, commitments and responsibilities to work, family and other people. Tethers we create, allow or submit to. Without them we would be free to float away without restriction, and free to go where the currents and the tides take us and free to be bashed against the rocks or the harbour wall, to fill with water and sink.
Even a tethered boat can submerge, as happened to ours here, once, and help was needed to rescue and refloat it. We all feel like that occasionally.

I've had a very busy few days but I back blipped for yesterday.
