Goodbye, Fare-Thee-Well #4

So our last day here at Yosemite… pancakes for breaky and off to do the Lower Yosemite Falls loop but since yesterday was full of the Upper Waterfall I've skipped blipping it. Interestingly, John Muir built a Sugar Pine cabin in 1869 here when he worked at a sawmill for 2 years before going
on to helping establish Yosemite and others as National Parks.

We then stopped at our favourite beach and had a video call with Ms H back home, then spotted some climbers on El Capitan and I have to assume they are sleeping on these platforms, brrr.

A last look at Half dome over the river, then the tunnel view down the valley, and off we went, up and down roads south this time, passing a very low Bass Lake, before reaching our destination, Shaver Lake, and no, it is not to get my beard shaved off! The small town was very pretty in the dark,
christmas lights etc, but we will see more of it tomorrow.

I hope we might return to Yosemite again in the future, but possibly not... I am glad the feelings we had 7 years ago as we left were exactly the same when we returned and it looked just as beautiful, if say 25C colder. A wonderful place whatever the season, au re·voir...
