A little ladybird

I uploaded an app *UK Ladybird Survey* after watching the breakfast show and a discussion on ladybirds yesterday so was really happy to spot this one in the garden and send off my photo and info to contribute to their data collection.

This is a 7-Spot or Coccinella Septempunctata. The invasion of the harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis) threatens our native populations, so glad I'd found one belonging to the scientific family Coccinellidae.
