Just Hovering

Capturing things in flight is difficult but of all subjects I find hoverflies probably the easiest. Although they may be the tiniest, they tend to hover.

We were brave enough to try out the new Rozelle Interchange coming into Sydney today.
This is a new “spaghetti junction”, years in construction, which opened with great fanfare and utter chaos last week. Apparently the engineers didn’t realise that funneling 7 lanes into 4 and poor signage wouldn’t improve the traffic flow. On the first morning there were traffic jams for hours and one motorist was reported as attempting to back out of the tunnel. Neighbouring residents weren't impressed either as they couldn’t get in or out of their suburbs due to the gridlocks. The mess continued for several days and we can only surmise that no one is prepared to risk it now as when we went through at peak hour today we had a dream run. I hope it stays that way as if it works it will cut maybe 15-20 minutes off our trip. It also costs $11 in tolls compared to $22 on the alternate route, according to this great app called Waze which we have just been alerted to :-)
