Straw bales

Large and round, baled in the heat of the summer and stored for the winter in the Dutch barn.  They are used for bedding for the cattle who have all been under cover for some weeks now.  We use a special machine on the  back of a tractor that chops the straw and spurts it out into the yards - the cattle get covered and toss it about until it has all settled.  Lovely to see!
