Bressay Lighthouse

A welcome sight in the morning heading into Lerwick on the ferry from Aberdeen whether it has been a rough night (which it wasn't) or calm.

First week on the Mainland of Scotland in June for over 20 years and it brought home how bleak Shetland is with it's greens and browns especially on dreich days like today. Fortunately I know that if you look closely for the wild flowers and on sunny days the blue skies and seas then you see why Shetland is such a great place.

This view of the Lighthouse in Bressay is best viewed in large for the ruin and old walls in the background.

PS - I can confirm that yesterdays blip was not of a penguin!!
