Mother's Sanitation Engineers

Turkey Vultures are tasked by Mother Nature with making certain that the remains of deceased animals are 'disposed' of quickly. They take their jobs very seriously. However, they are often late risers, socializing while stretching and warming up their massive wings. This photo was taken from our front porch, shooting up into the neighbor's tall pine trees.
