Joan’s blips

Flower Friday

Senecio candicans, commonly known as angel wings and sea cabbage.

This is in my next door neighbour’s garden. As you can see she doesn’t pull out moss. She pretty much buys plants due to colour … despite the light shade of the above. She plants her flowers where ever there is room … not sun related. Doesn’t prune anything but does water well.  She has no idea what any plant is called and doesn’t care … she just loves all the different colours. It seems everything she plants grows well with very few exceptions. Perhaps it is the great joy she experiences every day as she has never had  a garden before. I often see her just admiring her garden … the colours. It puts a smile on my face.

It is too hot today. Debilitating. The ceiling fans were not enough so the air con had to go on.  I was at the supermarket today to make sure I have enough food for tomorrow. Record high tomorrow … in the 40s C (100s F).
