Plumbago

Another of my favourite flowers, along with bougainvillea, is plumbago and they are still flowering here at the Casa Lavanda.  Today I spent some time pruning back the long straggling stems and dead headed the old flowers. But there are still young buds coming which are initially bright red with little sticky suckers out of which the tight plumbago flower twirls push their way out.
