Alfie and the Advent calendar

He looks as though he's guarding it - I'm just surprised that neither he nor Lexi has knocked it off the mantlepiece yet, nor taken a bite or two out of it. 

Well, today was a red letter day as I managed to get rid of all my landfill and recycling and food waste! The bins must have been emptied in the morning. There was a fair amount of rubbish strewn around the landfill bin which I guess had come from a fox getting hold of a bag which was sticking out of the bin. That's the main downside of the new bins regime - they just aren't emptying them frequently enough. I will be getting out more over the next two days, I'm sure you will be glad to hear.
