It's rubbish

This is around the corner from my house. In fact it's round every corner as Brighton's binmen are on strike again. The city looks like a giant rubbish tip.

It's a dispute about allowances which will make some of our lowest paid workers £4k a year worse off. The council has handled it really badly. What negotiator allows talks to break down in the summer, to coincide with the weekend of the London to Brighton bike ride when 30,000 people descend on the seafront?

The ruling Green Party are split, with half of them, and the local Green MP, siding with the strikers. You couldn't make it up.
