While on my runs

Young cabbage tree

Spent the afternoon planting a few native trees or shrubs. The place which had been chosen for one of the two small cabbage trees is behind the top of the retaining wall. In a wee triangular space. The scoria is deep , and there was no garden mix put on top of the scoria.  I dug a deep hole into which I put garden mix and later watered it.

Earlier today I had realised that we have a small young cabbage tree with a double trunk. As the newly planted one is awkward to photograph, I chose to photograph the one beside the house as my blip. They can grow to be 20 m tall
