PURPLE SANDPIPER

I had a very refreshing walk at the Headland this afternoon where I saw some of these as well as lots of other birds and, sadly, a dead porpoise on the beach (extra) which I reported to a number I'd googled. When I was shopping later I realised that I'd been 'bombed' by a gull at some stage. Somewhere at the back of my mind I seem to remember that that's supposed to be either good or bad luck, self-evidently bad luck I'd have thought except that I was wearing a hat which took the punishment and has now been washed.
