654 day of war

Hello, friends!

This week the weather has become even colder, and it's already quite chilly to stay at home. Despite the lack of free time due to a busy schedule, we managed to go to the park to feed the squirrels. The squirrels weren't very interested in us, as there are plenty of nuts for them in the park, but I was take a picture of them from a distance. Though we had to navigate through snowy drifts and got very cold, it was worth it because we haven't been out much lately.

Yesterday, it seems that the winter series of Russian shelling began, starting at 7 in the morning. Fortunately, nothing critical was damaged, and we survived the first attack quite calmly. Most likely, we can expect shelling throughout the cold season, but we believe in the effectiveness of the extensive network of air defense complexes to protect us.

While I try not to delve too deeply into the news, there is a noticeable tension in society. A few weeks ago, intelligence reported that Russians were starting a new information-psychological operation to undermine trust in our leadership. Knowing this, I try to approach everything I read with more skepticism. Taking information about conflicts between Zelensky and Zaluzhny seriously is challenging. After all, this is a military man and a politician, of course they will have different views on things, but I do not think that this can become a problem for the state. Divergences are normal.

Most alarming are the news about the reduction of military aid and border blockades. Due to the border blockade, we're already experiencing problems with the rising cost of fuel and consequently all products. There are also disruptions in humanitarian aid, which will not be distributed for the next two months. Additionally, there are constant reports about canceling payments to internally displaced persons who lost their homes, despite initial promises to continue payments until the end of the war.

In the midst of these challenges, a new wave of intensified mobilization is taking place, with raids on sports halls and hotels in resort cities where people go for vacation before the Christmas holidays.

As sad as it is, our numbers are not increasing, and the front constantly requires fresh manpower. The Russian army, which initially had around 250,000 troops, now has about 400,000. Our army has also grown significantly, but it seems that any number of people will be insufficient, and each mobilization effort becomes more radical.

There is only hope to survive until the end of the war, see how it all ends, and try to live on, starting from scratch. Without our own homes, without friends, without everything we had before. Although it's very challenging, I believe that we can cope with everything. The main thing is to survive this time.

Thank you all for your support, and thanks for the help on buymeacoffee. It really makes a difference. Thank you!
