White horses

Not at sea but on the way there.
Technically they are grey horses, with black skin.
True white horses are rare, and have pink skin (which easily gets sunburnt.)
These working ponies are back to graze the coastal margin, a winter job that keeps the scrub down.
I like the texture of the winter grass. Perhaps they do too.

A late outing with the dog. She's nervous, having been kicked by one of the ponies when they first arrived. They're nervous, they don't like dogs. We skirt around them and continue our walk.
