And suddenly...

...the room went dark...

Last night the central light in our sitting room was flickering a lot, but that often happens when it's very windy. This afternoon it was switched on again - we rarely use it - as I was ironing, and it was rather gloomy. Then... pouf... the darkness returned...

I thought it might have been a bulb at first, but not three at once. .. Roy thought it was probably the switch, so I finished my ironing in the gloom before he looked at it. 

Sure enough - a loose wire, the defunct switch is back in operation and all is bright and cheery again!
