LEAVING FAIR ISLE

And what a fantastic, wonderful day, and a life tick of a Western Subalpine Warbler to boot. No sight of the Paddyfield Warbler sighted yesterday, though Henry of the Waxwing photos fame walked past as I was sitting in a ditch, like I seem to do, and asked me if there had been any sign of it, and when I replied no, he kicked the relevant bush and said he'd seen it yesterday. Lucky little b***** person . Hope we will be able to go back to this wonderful island and stay longer. The plane trip was just amazing, and yet I was so nervous about it, though I think we were very lucky with the weather!
