Ex mining villages

A beautiful day for a trip to some of the Ayrshire mining villages. Met up with a young man who could share the impact of the loss of the mining industry on his parents and grandparents. Fascinating how those political decisions still ripple through to this day. You cannot separate out the job of a social worker from the political context in which they work. This has been with me as I develop the brokerage work and has never been clearer to me!
Really makes me think about our current political context, decisions and their ongoing impact and long term ripple effect.
This wee pic was taken on my Ayrshire journey through some beautiful countryside.
