Sugarloaf

This morning we visited Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho or, as it's better known, Maracanã Stadium. There were lots of interesting exhibits including the ball, the net and a ticket for the 1969 game where Pelé scored his 1,000th goal. The most surprising fact for me was that Brazil's first game as a national team was against Exeter City in 1914. It was also their first win, beating the English side 2-0.

A visit to Sugarloaf Mountain was the next stop and the better weather today meant we got a view from the top. Not the lovely clear blue sky we'd hoped for but at least we got a decent view.
