Skybound

Look in large to count the humans (spoiler: some of them aren't).

We used the excuse of a medical appointment for S and picking up Bruno the Peugeot for me to arrange lunch with Aunt B in Narbonne. We met in town and managed to find a table in our second choice of restaurant for tapas ... outdoors! Yes, it was 20C on the 11th of December.

All the chalets selling food and gifts were up along the Barques, and the funfair across the canal was doing a certain amount of business. It was only when I looked at this photo that I realised they had :: cough :: inflated the number of customers.

We had a good chat with B, then S went to his appointment while we treated ourselves to a café gourmand each. It was only a checkup, so it didn't take long and he rejoined us in time to snaffle one small cake. Then we had a quick whizz round some of the stalls before we had to leave because S had a dental appointment in Fabrezan, and I had to pick up Bruno and then do some much needed shopping (we skipped breakfast this morning, apart from coffee, because we didn't have anything suitable to eat).

I ended up getting home before S, because the dentist did an unexpected filling. Mystère was most aggrieved that we'd both abandoned him for the entire day, but was quickly placated with some expensive cat food. And now it's a light snack and some wine by the fire.
