a lifetime burning

Unlike so much of my year to date, today was not a day for photography. Instead I’ve made fresh batches of the various spices mixes I use in curries. After weighing them all out, they were duly roasted and ground before being stored in airtight containers. I roast these using the outdoor gas barbecue - to try to limit just how much our home smells like a restaurant and for how long.

But even though I’ve done this and kept doors shut while the spices were ground, there will be a delight smell of spices permeating the house for days yet to come.

Ultimately any left over turkey or similar will be delicious as a result :-)
