Warriston fields

View to the castle.  There was a dry interval for a walk, and a gleam of light in the sky to the SW a little later than this.

The forecast had been for a dry morning, but a line of showers not in the model were lined up on the city, sliding down the East coast from the North. Made a quick trip out regardless.

Longer walk in the early afternoon, by the Rodney Street tunnel to Warriston then through the Botanics to Inverleith. Several hundred black headed gulls roosting on the sodden rugby fields; one persistent dog being allowed to disturb them. Back by the Water of Leith path; river running 60cm higher than normal. 5C, not windy.
