Rock Pipit

I went through to Finstown to view a mystery. The village lies on the Bay of Firth and there has been a mass beaching of a fish called Atlantic saury. It is rare in Orkney waters and it is a puzzle as to why it has happened. There were at least 1200 gulls feeding on them, as well as grey and harbour seals, red-breasted mergansers and shags. I took some photos for the record but have posted a cheerier subject- a pipit on the wall of the bridge over the entrance to an inlet called The Ouse.
