(One way to move house.)

We were driving back from watching the school nativity play (extra) with 4 year old granddaughter as Mary. She was word-perfect for all the songs (in Welsh) but, stuck with holding the baby, unable to participate in  the jiggling and waving that the rest of the children were doing - including Joseph. There's a life lesson there,  her mother wryly observed.

Later, we rose to the challenge of ordering a Chinese meal to be Deliveroo-d to our elder son, stuck in a hospital bed in Manchester after a minor op from which he came round to find that supper had been and gone. (I'm starving! he complained after nil by mouth since yesterday.) Let's see if we can get something sent in I suggested.
It worked! The driver managed to find the right entrance and get someone to take the food to the ward. The wonder of 21stC tele-communications (although I didn't do that bit).
