The Caburn

A friend from Melbourne came to visit today and we walked from Lewes over the South Downs via Mount Caburn and Beddingham Hill. Masses of orchids around and the Vipers Buglos is just starting to flower. We saw lots of chalkhill blue and common blue butterflies. The first half of the walk can be seen in this image taken halfway up Beddingham Hill: Lewes is on the left, Mount Caburn in the centre and Glynde on the right.
