If you can't beat them...

Christmas Tree.

Definitely an emergency blip.

In the morning we should have been having a new electricity meter fitted.  They had been told it must be early in the day as we had to leave the house by 12:00.  When there was no sign of the fitter by 10:30 Clickychick rang up to enquire when he would arrive.  Well, you didn't want him before 12:00 was the reply.  Wrong!  Three different phone calls had been told the exact opposite.  Now it will be fitted in the New Year.

So we left in good time for the Social Club Christmas Lunch at the Roundthorn up on Beacon Edge.   A lovely meal with good conversation.  By the time we were leaving the light was starting to fade.  So I took a quick snap of the Christmas tree in the room we were in.

Home for a short rest then out to the local Wildlife Trust Support groups.  Two interesting talks, the first "Wilder Cumbria, Wilder Penrith", the second by the CEO of the Eden River Trust about their work
