Cirrus over the Remarkables

We finished our Christmas shopping painlessly  in Queenstown today…although driving over the Crown Range required extra care. We couldn’t believe how busy it was until we found out a fatal accident had closed the Kawarau Gorge, and all the traffic was rerouted over the Crown Range.
This road is the highest in NZ and has many switch back bends in it…not built for the buses, camper vans and trucks that were forced to use this route today.
It is good to be home safely…
