Living my dream

By Mima

Rambling

This is one of the few signs that there were once gardens here along the road up the hill from Chez Mima. A beautiful pink rambling rose.

It has been a day of two halves: up to 29C this morning, then a southerly change arrived and it dropped to 15C and rain arrived.

Fortunately I got all the washing dry in the morning, and did all my outdoor tasks. Then I began cheese making (a Double Gloucester and some Ricotta from the whey) and podded a few broad beans in the kitchen, while listening to a wonderful BBC Radio 4 adaptation of Sweeney Todd.

Picked broad beans, peas, raspberries, artichokes, cardoons.

And a second new chook has started to lay each day. Hooray. Only four more to go…
