Anderton Boat Lift

I met Paul at Anderton Boat Lift today to do a quick geocaching adlab. The unique structure transports boats and barges 50 feet between the Trent and Mersey canal and the River Weaver Navigation. It was built in 1875 and closed in 1983 but then restored and reopened in 2002.
