AV Club’s Countdown of the Top 25 Holiday Movies of All Time is winding down! Here is #9: The Shop Around The Corner from 1940. An American romantic comedy directed by Ernst Lubitsch; starring Margaret Sullavan, James Stewart, Frank Morgan. It’s based on the 1937 Hungarian play “Parfumerie” by Miklos Laszlo • A gray day before heavy rain and high winds move in tonight. The fun is supposed to continue through Monday morning • We finished cards and wrapped up a box that needs to go to the PO tomorrow • One of our favorite holiday films from 1947 is The Bishop’s Wife with Cary Grant, David Niven and Loretta Young. We’ll be sitting down soon to watch it with the tree lights on and a cup of cheer. I hope MrsP has some ideas for dinner tonight! • Peace & Joy & Love
