Tilling lines...

I escaped into the hills today, leaving M with his chain saw and logs. There is a farm track with fields on both sides leading from our plot into the nearest town of Villa Nueva de la Concepción. The fields are all sloped and contour farming is practised, with tilling lines following the contours and creating rills and gullies to catch as much water as possible when it rains and preventing soil erosion.

In the extra I include a view of the track I walked along showing the ploughing lines in the field.  On the left hand side the track is lined with almond trees.
