Quod oculus meus videt

White Dogwood (Cornus alba)

A late walk down the "cut" at the rear of our estate. Because it is a landlocked section the reeds have now pretty much taken over and there are only small pockets of open water. Still it was nice to see the little grebes, coots, moor hens and ducks with their young still in the area. Reed warblers were also companions on the walk but they always stayed just to far away to be caught on camera.

In the end I chose this focus stack of a dogwood flower lit by the last of the sun. Made up of 11 shots, I was pleased by the software's ability to compensate for the slight movement during the shoot sequence.

Many thanks for the comments, faves and stars for the night before last's image of the sunset. I was surprised when it went to spotlight after I posted last night's image.
