Juvenille Jackdaw. The local ones have been spending a good bit of time making a near constant racket in the trees just over the back garden fence. I suspect they're eating the seeds that are ripening on the Wych Elms.

This one was scurrying about in a fairly confined area, unable to get off the ground. So I grabbed it and put it on the fence, where it stayed. "Hmm, no Blip yet." It kindly sat and waited for me to go find a camera, and take its picture, before successfully flying off.

Should have been sea kayaking at Cromarty this evening, but was somewhat worn out after overdoing the cycling yesterday, plus it was blowing a hoolie. Gave the grass and those daisies are darned good cropping, as I might not get another chance for a while.

Was checking the forecast for Saturday, and a potential marathon photo shooting event. Not looking good at all. Just hope the forecasters are as accurate for this Saturday as they were for last - the predicted all day overcast and heavy rain, was in reality a warm sunny day with one brief heavy shower.
