Winter walk . Furness Abbey

A mild day so we drive up to Abbey House. We walked round the grounds then down the path alongside Furness Abbey. 
It is closed weekdays at this time of the year. . They are busy putting in a path and wheel chair access.  ( see extra) 
At the moment it looks very muddy and messy but I'm assuming it will be sympathetically done and the raw white wood will be painted to blend in with the stonework.
We carried on across the 'amphitheatre'  as far as the Farm before turning back. As we passed the cafe Flet h made his way over to the door.. he remembers we often stop there for cake ! Not today. A  bit chilly for sitting outside  and too small and crowded to sit inside.
