Happy Birthday - not Dd!

My mum, made of girders, celebrated her 98th birthday today, including the interrogation of her 31-year old grandson, who phoned in from Hong Kong, on his pension arrangements!

As soon as she was born in an attic in News Street Paisley, the family, realising it would be too small for the growing family, wrapped her in swaddling clothes and threw her onto a horse and cart along with their sticks of furniture to make the journey, through deep snow, up Causeyside Street to Alice Street and larger lodgings which would be her home to the day of her wedding 28 years later.

We both worked today and then had dinner at Real Choppe, above.
