Nuthatch in a traditional pose

There are two nuthatches that now often come to the feeders. They now seem 'comfortable', or at least not scared, about waiting their turn in the trees and bushes near the house. I normally associate them with bossing all the other birds at the feeder, before flying off at high speed to the end of the garden and beyond.

Today one of them landed on the patio table and walked about, before dropping to the ground to feed like a dunnock. Perhaps the genes have been crossed.
