Festive and yummy

These were very tasty as well as looking fun. They were a bit lighter than the usual crumpets and made even better when I smeared some peanut butter on them.

We had a fairly quiet day at home. We were planning on a trip out until a lorry crashed and left 22 tonnes of potatoes on the M5 between Cully and Exeter. The motorway was closed from 8am until late in the day for the cleanup and cars diverted around it through Cully. So it was mayhem on the roads!

We did a mini trip to the Drs surgery that has a coffee shop - just to give everyone a little bit of fresh air but it was a good choice not to venture far. The roads were chaotic as we viewed them from the peace of the cafe.

Leo’s girlfriend and family have been suffering with a stomach bug. It looks like they are getting better now, just in time for Christmas. Leo was fearing he would just have to do a drive by to drop of pressies in order to avoid the lurgy, but with luck by Christmas Eve they will be safe to mingle.
