Piano Vocalise

The final lesson of 2023.
Here’s Jan playing the piece “Vocalise”.

This piece was played during the Rieu concert two weeks ago, and beautifully sung by soprano Micaëla Oëste. Somehow it caught me during the concert, so I had to have it on paper to learn to play it myself.
It’s turns out it's not that difficult to play and perfect to arrange and improvise on.

The way Jan does that just seconds after seeing the piece for the first time is just unbelievable. I still have a long way to go….
