It would seem that my new neighbours have finally taken up residence. I haven't seen any of them yet, but I'm picking up first impression clues about them...

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Move - The Christian Life (1969)
Performed here by the Move on the BBC2 show Colour Me Pop in February 1969 but not released on any Move record, this old Louvin Brothers song from 1959 was probably learned from the Byrds version on Sweetheart Of The Radio, as they had covered several other Byrds recordings. The Byrds had learned it from Gram Parsons but when he left the band his vocal was replaced by that of Roger McGuinn for the album. The Move did perform the song for a BBC radio session on 18 November 1968 with bass player Trevor Burton taking the lead vocal, as on this clip, and I found it included on an expanded version of their album Shazam, which I heard on this day.
