The Lindis Valley …..

….. ….. ….. as we saw it from the Lindis Pass.
I hope you can view it larger as the folds of the hills are remarkable.

We, my daughter and son-in-law, Missy and I, set off in tandem from Arrowtown about 7am and reached the Lindis Saddle at 8:15. There wasn’t much traffic in the road by then and we loved the views and the light on the hills.
Our next stop was at Twizel for coffee and a walk for Missy, in a lovely park in the middle of the small town. Such fabulous scenery driving through the Mackenzie Country, with huge rolling clouds over the Southern Alps.

We met my granddaughter M. in Christchurch, off her Auckland flight and then drove to our super B&B at Waikuku Beach. Lots of traffic by the time we got to the airport. M. and I walked with Missy in the direction of the estuary, and plan to get there tomorrow.

We’ve had our dinner, and are sitting chatting and everyone is talking about bed already.
It’s so lovely to be here.
