Cows and hikers on top of Brean Down, Somerset

Brean Down is a finger of National Trust land pointing westwards into the Bristol Channel, between Burnham in the south and Weston-super-Mare in the north. We climbed the steep steps from the sea level car park to the top (I felt very pleased with myself for being able to do it!) in the warm sunshine of the hottest day of this summer, as did many other people. Here are two other hikers and a herd of cows (allowed to graze here to preserve the turf), with Weston Bay beyond them.
