Scullion's Return

Scullion has returned; he struggled to find a new position.  The sole thing on his CV states that he is a 'Man's Man'.    The Current Mrs Creel thought he was playing billiards in the Library.  He's yet to meet Isobel, the Parlour Maid, she has a week off to visit her folk in Ythanbank.  Apparently Scullion has already managed to lose the fish kettle.  He couldn't locate the knife grinder, l didn't want to tell him he also has the week off.

CMC delivered her sister to the airport, she will be spending Christmas with Katy, her daughter, in Stonehaven.  However with Aberdeen Airport closed with snow her 13.30 flight from Kirkwall was delayed until 18.05; eventually it was cancelled and everyone will get a flight to Edinburgh then bussed up to the Silver City.  It's the only opportunity l'll ever have to record that the A9 was blocked with snow at Helmsdale.   Consequently the MV Pentalina was held back.

After my contretemps with Scullion l went for a walk whilst the weather was holding.  I met Dennis Sclater in the Kirkyard.  I then spoke at length to Kenny Firth.  He was on his way to put some flowers on his wife's grave after putting some on his daughter's grave in Stenness.  At 88 he is very spirited and keen to chat.

An extra shows Creel HQ which bewilderingly, has been requested by a Blipper.  The lengths l go to.  The pressure's on as CMC has just roused me from my chaise longue to report another batch of mince pies is ready

Gene Hackman is 93.
