We have a new Christmas tradition of plumbing disasters - just two years into it so far and I think we’re aiming to knock it on the head! Antony came up to fetch me this morning as he was on a work call but was panicking as downstairs was covered in water outside and around the downstairs loo. I initially decided it was just that Master Isaac had been overly enthusiastic with the loo roll and performed a thorough clean up hoping that was the last of it. Then it happened again later and I was confused that the water was warm. The next morning Ant decided it was our waste water hitting a block further down the pipes and returning back up the downstairs loo with added extras. Horrors. Absolutely awful! Assuming it was our issue we spent Saturday awaiting Dynorod. But they investigated and determined it was actually disintegrated pipes belonging to United Utilities causing the problem. I’m writing this on Christmas Eve, a storm is blowing outside, rain lashing down and some poor chaps are outside finally fixing the problem (I hope)!

The pic is Isaac, munching on apples. Today was a momentous day for him as he travelled with his Dad and brother to watch his beloved football team in Birmingham.
