A change of plans: we were going to spend the day in Canterbury with Imogen's family and my mother (for a new "at home" version of the usual "Christmas Eve in Canterbury"), but unexpected illness meant that it was just my mother on this occasion... We'll have to reconvene another time, and the important thing is that the patient is being looked after appropriately.
