Mrs I has been busy today, doing all her preparations for the big day. (the 28th, when our visitors come to stay till New Year).

We don't do Christmas any more (I mean what would I get for the woman who has everything!)

But we do do the pub on Christmas morning, the whole village will be there and we all get kicked out when the landlord wants his Christmas turkey dinner!

My Christmas Eve walk was from Halford village near Craven Arms, alongside the River Onny and out onto the fantastic Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. Here there are trails, native woodland, pools, an orchard, a willow plantation, and fine views all around. The centre have educational tours, classes and a coffee shop where they sell, amongst other things, cake.

What more can I say...

The image is the walkway and staging where there can be seen up to twelve different types of dragon fly, as well as frogs, newts and masses of wild birds.

Heaven on earth.

I also 'discovered' which Christmas Carol is the favourite for nomadic people in the desert...

'Oh camel ye faithful'

Have a great Christmas everyone.  And please, a PEACEFUL New Year.
