Spotty balls

...Well, spotty baubles, on Lucy and Reuben's tree, which is tiny and rather lovely!

A mad rush of an afternoon, much of which was spent negotiating our way through heavy traffic and around idiot drivers. (Luckily MrM somehow managed to avoid being hit side-on by the one who jumped a red light at speed...)

We made it to IKEA in our time slot to pick up a 'click and collect' order - a  remarkably quick and easy process. Then to Tom's abode for a pre-arranged Christmas gift exchange. He's chaperoning at the theatre all afternoon, so it was a case of retrieving gifts for us from his green wheelie bin, and replacing them with (well wrapped!) gifts for him.

Next we travelled to the other side of Leeds, ably assisted by Google maps, to visit Lucy. Very good to see her again! Just time for a cup of tea, though unfortunately we weren't able to stay as long as we would have liked - we needed to be in Huddersfield to pick up our order of Christmas food within the allotted time slot. Just made it, and bought a few other festive items too.

The plan was to pick up fish & chips on the way home, but by the time we left Huddersfield all the chip shops had shut. Never mind, beans on toast turned out to be just right!
