Lined up

Desperate photo, sorry!

An odd sort of Christmas Day. With S’s mum stuck upstairs, it was a bitty event. Lunch, cooked by me and S while R fielded more calls, was a two-storey affair, with different people taking turns to go up and keep J company. Yorkshire puddings with gravy, then a massive joint of roast beef, gratin dauphinois, sprouts (again!) and, after a pause, Aldi’s finest Christmas pudding with brandy cream. This must have been good because most of us had seconds.

I failed to take any usable photos and it was dark by the time we’d finished and tidied up, so I popped out to look at the Christmas lights. Well … they were underwhelming. Back home for cheese and biscuits with port and probably another early night!
